Abstract
Last summer a book was published in Hong Kong by MAP book publishers titled HK LAB, a collection of essays from a diverse group of contributors whose ongoing the "Made in Hong Kong" phenomenon as a formula that is not only limited to the production sphere. The book met with mixed response, so much so that Valerie Portefaix and Laura Ruggeri, two of its authors, felt compelled to explain where their research is coming from and indeed, where it's heading.
