Abstract
The Hang Seng Bank headquarters stands on the site of a former fire station. Architects Wong & Ouyang came up with a "conservative though modern" facade but the layout is more practical - flexible and cost-effective. It has a profusion of curves as though symbolizing the bank's smooth and tactful service. Lease conditions greatly influenced the design but the general planning remains fairly conventional.
