Abstract
A recent exhibition at the Arts Centre focused on the work of six architects and three other artists who responded to the title "Monuments for the Unknown", one of a series of events under the umbrella of Invisible Cities. This exhibit posed questions such as why some monuments are so prominently seen and others not; why certain images get used as public monuments and how the monument represents the collective values of community. Tim Li reports on the contributions made by those designers.
