Abstract
To be completed in early 1993, Wanchai's $2-billion, two-tower Times Square project embodies major advances in local building construction including new-to-Hong Kong techniques related to excavation and foundation construction and a steel-frame superstructure in place of the traditional reinforced-concrete form.
A relatively complex development, and one complicated in its construction, Times Square comprises 32- and 25- storey office towers rising out of a 15-floor podium and six level basement.
