Abstract
The Lushan Villas have been the exclusive home to China's leaders for the past hundred years, revered by most Chinese as an irreplaceable monument of recent Chinese history. Last month, it was announced that 21 of the villas were to be rebuilt with modern amenities, and put on the international market. David Peart reports.
