Abstract
Over the next decade, total installed electricity generating capacity in Thailand must triple from 4,200MW to 12,500MW. Since only about 2,500MW of the increase is either currently under construction or has already been tendered, the balance of 5,800MW offers ample opportunity for contractors and equipment suppliers. Looking even further ahead, the rate of growth can be expected to continue, raising the prospect of some very large projects indeed.
