Abstract
The Taiwanese have a gift for absorbing foreign cultures with ease and style; proof of which is the increasing prevalence of refined aesthetics and designs that successfully combine diverse cultural elements. Located in Taipei, the lobby & restaurant of Le Meriden Gloria Hotel adopts a traditional western style in its new dining establishment and a classically styled reception area, taking into account the French background of the hotel.
Durable European traditional materials like marble and mosaic tiles are used throughout the restaurant, both reflecting the long history of Continental craftsmanship and meeting the client's low-maintenance requirements.
