Abstract
In this issue, we celebrate the coming to life of the Bank of China Tower, Hong Kong's tallest structure, one of the world's tallest buildings and the latest architectural expression of the mega-structure, Man's newest and most-dramatic example of the challenge "to reach to the sky." Leading off our presentation is an interview with Sandi Pei, project architect to and the son of design architect I M Pei, and Hong Kong associate architect Sherman Kung.
