Abstract
At first sight of the duo you could be forgiven for thinking that Odile Decq and Benoit Cornette had just stepped off the set of The Addams Family. Decq's teased, wild black mane is shot through with streaks of electric blue; the only flashes of colour in an otherwise monochrome ensemble that includes black-framed eyes, lips and nails. Cornette's person is also draped in inky black, though the ascetic look does not sit quite so well on his more ample frame, with his comfortingly ordinary face and smiley eyes. However, any reservations that may have crept in with their appearance are happily blasted away with Decq's wonderful ear-to-ear grin and Cornette's warm handshake.
