Abstract
Despite its plethora of sophisticated skycrapers, up-to-date financial institutions and modern telecommunications (and other means of electronic access), Hong Kong is not without its problems of physical access, especially for the handicapped. Nor does its topography help those to whom physical movement is an profound everyday consideration, since flat land is hard to find and the dynamic urbanization that has been created is frequently compressed into almost inconceivable congestion.
