Abstract
A giant bird will soon be taking off over the Wanchai waterfront. It is, of course, the extension to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, which will be resembel a huge flying bird upon its completion in mid-1997. Besides its massive scale, which will provide double the exhibition space of the existing centre, the new extension will feature the world's largest curved roof and one of the world's biggest glass facades.

當工程在97年中完成後, 香港會展中心擴建部份將會呈現一隻海鳥在水面展翅高飛的形態, 勢必成為灣仔海旁的一個觸目新焦點。新翼規?宏大, 將可帶來較現有會展中心多一倍的樓面, 供作貿易發展之用。而在建築特色上, 新翼的巨型弧形屋頂及玻璃幕牆, 均為世界最大。
