Abstract
A giant bird will soon be taking off over the Wanchai waterfront. It is, of course, the extension to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, which will be resembel a huge flying bird upon its completion in mid-1997. Besides its massive scale, which will provide double the exhibition space of the existing centre, the new extension will feature the world's largest curved roof and one of the world's biggest glass facades.
