Abstract
Construction costs vary widely within Asia, sometimes due to cost-effectiveness factors that are beyond the control of the contractor and, most often, for purely normal reasons such as building codes, material availability and construction methods.
In the following presentation, the second of two parts, Davis Langdon & Seah Hong Kong managing director and chartered quantity surveyor Bob Newman examines local key factors which influence the cost-effectiveness of building construction in the Southeast Asia and East Asia regions.
