Abstract
Passing through Hong Kong in the middle of July, Kenzo Tange generously granted me an hour for an interview. In spite of his age, Mr Tange insisted upon conducting the interview without the mediation of an interpreter. His confidence in speech is reflected in his numerous writings on the subject of modernity. We should value this rare opportunity for this major player in Modern architecture to express his views once again.
