Abstract
The HK$2.3 billion airport anchors the southern end of what the Malaysian government is calling the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). Within this region, stretching 60 km from Kuala Lumpur to the airport, the government plans to create the future of Malaysia: a hive of high-tech industries, universities, international transportation hubs, research and development centres, and ecological reserves. In short, an urban development on par with the advanced economies of the world. The MSC concept includes plans for a new Malaysian capital, an electronically intelligent Cyber City, university towns, an airport city and residential cities.
