Abstract
The Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method (HK-BEAM) aims to reduce the environmental impact of buildings while improving quality and user satisfaction by adopting the best techniques, practices and standards compatible with prevailing economic constraints. Going beyond its environmental label, the success of HK-BEAM should be meausred by its impact in actually improving building performance.
