Abstract
Earlier this year, Mr Rocco Yim presided over The Energy Efficient Building Award, so we considered him the ideal person to talk to about the issue of being architecturally green. However our opening conversational gambit met with an unexpected response:
(1) Are you a green architect?
(2) How does this belief reflect itself in your practice?
(3) In terms of your own work, are you implementing your ideals?
(4) To what areas do you think your profession has to acquire greater understanding in order to be more environmentally focused?
(5) So your clients share your views?
(6) What about development in China where there is not so much pressure on land-use?
(7) Are land developers in Hong Kong responding to the green issue?
(8) Is this a reversible situation or a lost cause?
