Abstract
The complexity and difficulty of a construction project is not necessarily directly related to size and scale. On the contrary, putting up a building on a small site may be more difficult than doing one on a big site, especially when the client demands a high-quality product. Constructing the extension to the Ramada Inn Hong Kong in Wanchai is a good example. (1) Obstacles to overcome 業主要求 (2) Foundation works 地基工程 (3) Piling works (4) Superstruction works 上蓋工程 (5) Superstruction method 建築方法 (6) Access, materials delivery 物料運送困難 (7) Upper-level atrium 高層前庭 (8) Making two into one 二合為一 (9) Noise and dust control 噪音及塵埃控制
