Abstract
The text below is a mosaic of research, writings, and comments by a number of students from CUHK's Department of Architecture and St. Paul's Secondary School, and also includes comments by other participating secondary school students and residents of the three subject housing estates. It has been edited to sound as if it came from one voice, but it came from within many hearts. Hong Kong's architects should listen carefully to these students, especially when they asked why a lot of students but only a handful of professional architects participated in the workshops, and why the issues they raised from their on-site research were not discussed by speakers and panelists at the follow-up symposium. The students would like to thank the three Housing Estate Managers who hosted the workshops, and those HKIA architects who participated- Mr. Stephen Tang, Mr. Bernard Lim, Mr. Lobo Chan, and Mr. Michael Ng - and Mr. Ho Wai Fung and Mr. Elton Ng of the HKIA staff.
