Abstract
From a staid English practice basking in the wealth of post-war commissions, RMJM has turned into a global concern, with particular emphasis in Asia. Here London-based chairman Colin Beck speaks on a second "golden age" of architecture and where his firm fits in. (1) Do you plan to open an office in China, which has such potential for growth? (2) Is there a particular sort of project that you're aiming at, such as industrial? (3) Do you find there is a difficulty marketing your services in China? (4) How much would you like RMJM work to expand over the coming decade? (5) Is this another period of "glorious days"? (6) Might esthetics be sacrificed in the ensuing scramble?
