Abstract
The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards 1999 exhibition was held at Pacific Place in Arpil. The prize presentation and exhibition opening ceremony attracted many industry professionals, and the media was out in force, reflecting the general public's keen interest in architecture as well as the appeal of renowned local architects and buildings. The winning designs include residential, commercial, educational and recreational projects in which both public institutions and private practices are involved. The high calibre of design truly reveals the formidable ability of Hong Kong architects.
