Abstract
Vietnam's potential for investment is one of thw worst kept Asian secrets. The main stumbling block to even more capital flowing into the newly emerging nation is its inadequate and obselete infrastructure, which exists even in the more advanced southern regoin. The danger is that in the rush to modernise, this significant corner of Indochina will rub out its heritage. Huw Morgan Griffiths reports.
