Abstract
Architecture develops in phase with time and technology. Also, owing to the differences in political, cultural and geographical contexts, it varies from place to place and that characterised its architectural style. To create and develop this style, an architect plays the leading role. When an architect designs a building in a city, he should have a clear understanding of people's value and belief at that time as they are constantly changing from decades to decades. Having understood these variables, new architectural ideas and styles come up. In this article, 2 factors affecting the building development will be disscussed. It is very interesting to note how they affect the buliding scale and image from the last century towards the millennium era. (1) Building scale in relation to street (2) Building style in relation to environment (3) Keep our mind open
