Designing Hong Kong 99: identity, community, and livability

Abstract
After last year's Designing Hong Kong event, which looked at Kai Tak and Kowloon Bay from the air, and through architect's eyes, the organisers agreed that this year it was important to find out what the average residents of Hong Kong feel about community, livability and the environment in which they live, before venturing into the design brainstorming. Jack Sidener, together with contributions from Louise Liu, Siu Ching Wong, and Bernard Lim, put the issues on the table.
