Abstract
The Chartered Society of Designers (Hong Kong) popped that question in celebration of their annual Design Awards 1998 event, which culminated in the Minerva Dinner and presentation ceremony just before Christmas. Over 400 entries were received to the award, which is open to all designers and students in Hong Kong, including non-members of CSD. Judging criteria was based on function and aesthetics, innovation and creativity, concept and originality, cost effectiveness and market relevance, and environmental and social awareness.
