Abstract
Developing an 8,546-sq m site boxed in on by busy roads and only an arm's length away from the Bank of China Tower and other structures above the site - which aptly describes the Citibank Plaza project - presented main contractor Sung Foo Kee Ltd with more than a few challenges. Representing the project/construction management team for the development, Jeffrey P K Chan of SFK Construction Management Ltd/Great Eagle Project Management Ltd discusses how, with careful and perhaps a little "artful" planning, the management/consultant/contractor team is confident that it can beat the completion target date of December 1991.
在一幅被形容為花園道地王，面積八千五百四十六平方米，價值二十七億元的地皮上，興建花園平台及兩幢「智慧型」現代化商業大廈，工程本身已非尋常，加上地盤周圍被中銀大廈、美利大廈等建築物及交通繁忙的花園道和紅棉路包圍，這對承建這座名為萬國寶通廣場的總承建商——孫褔記營造有限公司，無疑是一項挑戰。
孫褔記建築管理有限公司及鷹君策劃管理有限公司的高級工程經理陳秉剛，代表萬國寶通廣場的工程及建築管理小組，介紹工程如何小心甚或「富技巧」地規劃。而管理/顧問/承建商小組，均有信心在九一年十二月完成工程的目標。
