Abstract
Architude is a boutique café-cum-bookstore hidden between two hawker stalls selling vegetables and shoes on the lower part of Elgin Street, Central. The collaborative self-funded project involved a core group of seven young individuals with artistic, architectural and other more diverse tendencies, their common link being a shared goal. Officially owned by five partners, the idea was simply to create a place they could call their own that didn't involve working for someone else - a necessary break to their demanding daily work routine in more ways than one.
