Abstract
As growth accelerates in Hong Kong's northwestern New Territories and Yuen Long and its neighbouring Tin Shui Wai join Tuen Mun as major population centres, an upgraded and vastly-enlarged area highway system becomes an increasing requirement. One response is the Yuen Long-Tuen Mun Eastern Corridor, a six-km, limited-access expressway designed to ease the traffic overload that has long plagued outdated Castle Peak Road.
隨著元朗、屯門的發展，青山公路已不敷應用。為疏導繁忙的交通，元朗—屯門東走廊急需興建。這條六公里長的公路，主幹綫與青山公路平衡，其中一段穿過青山公路，伸展至天水圍。路政署把公路分為元朗、屯門兩段，兩項工程均由青木建設奪得。合約價值分別為三億九千零三十六萬四百一十元(元朗段)和三億一千零五十萬元(屯門段)。
