Abstract
The future industrial mode of the city is the solid basis and origin of the urban planning. It determines the form of employment, which determines the urban population, which in turn determines the life style and mentality, which determine the direction of urban planning, and which will in turn determine the urban industries as well as the creation of living space. This "chain" of thinking is the true significant element determining the urban renewal and redevelopment, and is the very work "the Hand of God" needs to do.
在中國當代城市改造運動中，寧波稱得上是典型的城市之一。20餘年寧波城市的大規模改造，最後的結果是被寧波的老百姓基本肯定了，這一點很重要。市民是城市的主人，也是這個改造工程的"甲方業主"，這就有讓我們深思的地方。大規模的城市改造是超大的手筆，真正要做到完美的，也許只有上帝之手才能做到。但是人們畢竟做了。
