Abstract
It's like a microcosm of a city's energy source - the pulsating heart, a new hub of activity, a capital within a capital. These concepts could describe Mr Mori's vision of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo's brand new urban district owned by Mori Building Co Ltd. Covering 11.6ha, the privately constructed area was built using the expertise of some of the world's best architectural talents in structuring a self-sufficient cultural and lifestyle mini-metropolis containing TV broadcasting centre, residential complex, cinema complex, 200 shops and restaurants, a 54-storey office tower crowned with a world-class museum and a world-class hotel.
