In 1965, Gensler now has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and in all major cities in the United States as well as overseas practices in Hong Kong, Tokyo and London. In recent years, Gensler has developed a niche in retail entertainment projects for clients such as Sony, Universal, Disney, Dreamworks and Warner Brothers as well as technology campuses for clients such as Oracle, Netscape and Apple amongst others. In January 2000 the American Institute of Architects named Gensler Architecture Firm of the Year 2000.
