Abstract
When Pyrrhus of Epirus defeated the Romans at Asculum in 279 BC, he exclaimed "One more such victory and we are lost". While you may not lose your legions, this can mirror the experience of victorious litigants in our courts and in arbitration when, after paying all the bills, they are left shaking their heads wondering whether the cost of victory had left them the loser.
