Abstract
For most architects, their definition of architecture is building as an object, to a certain extent a piece of sculpture. But for Kengo Kuma, he holds a different view, more in line with the traditional Japanese architecture that building should be part of nature and architecture should be integrated with the environment. Evidently, traditional Japanese architects were basically landscape designers.
