Abstract
What you sit on and how your technology is supported has as much to do with working culture as a company's philosophy. There is no game plan when things are moving round the clock from one project to another, never mind one country to the next. The globalisation of working rules means that the furniture we work with has to work twice as hard, not just at keeping up appearances, but at staying one step ahead of what the office worker might need in the way of communication, creativity, communality, or concentration. Fortunately, there are many internationally minded furniture companies who make it their job to do just that.
