Abstract
Arbitration is playing an increasingly important role in construction and related industries. In this two part article, which will be concluded in the February edition, Mr Shaw and Mr Haley examine an important development in arbitration law and its impact in the region.
In addition, in the October edition Mr Shaw and Mr Haley considered plans that had been announced to make the controller of a building site liable should illegal immigrant labour be found on that site.
This legislation has now been passed and in this edition, Mr Shaw and Mr Haley consider it.
Geoff Shaw and Glenn Haley are solicitors working with Messrs McKenna & Co. Both have considerable experience in construction and engineering law.
