Architectural dimensions: Sixhibition

Abstract
There is always an ambiguous relationship between art and architecture. The challenge for the artist working in an architectural space is to magnify it, whilst for the architect, it is an opportunity to experience a non-functional relationship with space. For these reasons only a few artists (such as Dan Graham, Sol Lewitt, Donald Judd), and architects (Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhaas, and Jean Nouvel), have ventured in both spheres. Last month, six young architects from the department of architecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong explored this confrontation. Laurent Gutierrez shares the experience.
