Abstract
In common with the other members of its own consortium, and with other consortia and contractors bidding for the massive Tsing Ma Bridge project, Leighton Contractors (Aais) Ltd is unhappy with the Hong Kong Government's use of a fixed-price contract in this instance. So says Leighton Contractors (Asia) Business Development Manager Grahame White in an interview with Construction & Contract News. Leighton's staff are presently preparing the tender documentation, in co-operation with personnel from other consortium members: France's Bouygue and its local subsidiary Dragages et Travaux (HK) Ltd, Germany's Hochtief, Hong Kong-incorporated Shui On Contractors Ltd, the UK's Beazer Asia Ltd, US-based American Bridge Inc and China-based China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
與其他正競投青馬大橋工程的承建商一樣，禮頓建築(亞洲)有限公司反對港府在此項龐大工程中，採用定價合約，因為風險實在太大。
但無論如何，禮頓建築仍忙於與財團內其他夥伴 —— 包括法國的Bouygue及其子公司香港濬海、德國的Hochtief、香港的瑞安建業、英國的比莎亞洲、美的Amercian Bridge和來自中國的中國建築擬定投標文件。
禮頓建築業務拓展經理韋基鴻指出，投標工作正密鑼緊鼓地進行。他又說，由於青馬大橋工程龐大，準備標書的費用不菲。
