Abstract
Twenty-two years ago, when the New World Centre was opened, the Cultural Centre was still on the drawing board and Tsim Sha Tsui, while already an established tourist spot, had few shopping malls where tourists and locals alike could shop in air-conditioned comfort. Now the whole landscape has changed and it is time for the shopping centre to undergo a facelift.
