Abstract
How many readers have simply glossed over the "antiquities" clause in construction contracts? In this month's column, Geoffrey Shaw and Glenn Haley examine the question of how antiquities discovered during the course of construction are to be treated.
They look at the general law concepts of "treasure trove" and "finder", as well as how Hong Kong statue law and a standard form of contract deal with the question.
