Abstract
Why should a furniture manufacturer with a showroom in Milan pay for space in the official fair when they can stage a unique event in their own premises? Since 1990, when the Milan Furniture Fair was split into two events (domestic furniture, lighting and accessories in April and contract office furniture biennially in autumn), the trend to show exclusively outside the fair has increased.
