Abstract
Shanghai Stadium is situated in Xu Hui District, and connects with the existing Shanghai Gymnasium, a swimming complex and the Olympic Club in the west to form the Shanghai Sport Centre. With a capacity of 80,000 people, the Stadium occupies a site of 190,000 sq m site and provides a GFA of 170,000 sq m. The area of green belt is 77,000 sq m (with a coverage rate of 22.47%), and the total investment in this project is about RMB $1.29 billion.
1997年金秋十月, 風和日麗, 上海舉辦了第八屆全國運動會. 作為八運會舉行開幕式的主會場, 使用新建的一座上海8萬人體育場. 言座矗立在上海西南角的標誌性建築, 氣勢恢宏, 風姿綽約, 像一朵迎風怒放的玉蘭, 像一匹昂首向天的駿馬, 像一艘啟錨欲航的巨艦… 為申城增添一道光彩耀目的城市景觀.
