Abstract
As part of the factors contributing to the built environment, indoor air quality (IAQ) is discussed in this paper by making reference to what others have investigated and made research. Air conditioning is revealed as possible way of improving air quality. Building materials that form the background of the internal environment are also addressed. Reference is made to overseas work and local Hong Kong issues. Such is to allow the reader an overall view of IAQ and its possible control.
