Sun Dong An Plaza, Beijing: Historic surrounds a major influence

Abstract
Construction of the Sun Dong An Plaza, along one of Beijing's famous streets, Wang Fu Jing, is nearing completion. Designed by Wong & Tung International Ltd., who collaborated with an American firm in the initial conceptual stage, the plaza is heavily referenced with traditional Chinese touches which asknowledge the building's historical surrounds. Still, the overall structure is modern and features atria sealed with glass ceilings.
