Abstract
It is not given to many to be legends within their own time; Harry Seidler is one such. Love, hate or disagree with him he is one of the giants of architecture in the post-war decades. A Bauhaus philosophy man to his cool core, he is nevertheless passionate to the point of controversy about any numbers of issues he considers crucial. In his case these are not negligible. In his adopted land of Australia he remains a figure of towering proportions and no major urban centre is completed without one or more of his offerings. Duologue continues a series of conversations with key personalities from the architecture and design scene in Asia Pacific.
