Abstract
The Scott Wilson group set up its Hong Kong office in 1952 when it was invited to study the feasibility of expanding Kai Tak Airport into a regional facility. The company's subsequent proposal to turn the airport into a international hub with a runway on reclaimed land - a world first - was not only visionary at the time but also set the pace for the company's own development.
On the occasion of Scott Wilson Ltd's 50th Anniversay in Hong Kong, Building Journal spoke with Chairman Dr Martin Kwong and Managing Director Mr Simon Davies about the company's history and future directions.
