Abstract
The Lippo Centre, One IFC, Landmark Tower: signature buildings that highlight the influence US architects have had and continue to have on the formation of Hong Kong's famous skyline. But on the construction side things have been different, with success in the local market relatively elusive. Angela Tam asks why this is so, and ponders whether the advent of Disneyland will mark the start of a building boom for US companies in the SAR.
