Abstract
Asia's tallest office tower, Sky Central Plaza, is approaching completion in Tien Ho new city, Guangzhou. It will be a cool 391 meters high; that is to say a third of mile straight up. The developers of this prestigious project are Kumagai Gumi (Hong Kong) Ltd and SMC Development (Guangzhou) Ltd. Kumagai is also the main contractor responsible for the deign, building and management of the project. Gammon Construction (China) Ltd is the management contractor in a joint venture with Kumagai. The 147,000 square meters of office space in this 30-storey giant should be available for occupation at the beginning of next year. (1) Guangzhou Metro
