Abstract
For the second consecutive year, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) Silver Medal is to be shared by two winners. The award is for 'meritorious architectural design' by a member of the HKIA. Thirty projects were submitted for adjudication of which three were received from the public sector.
The Jury comprising three architects - Ian W. Campbell (Chairman), Jose Lei and Jon Prescott - and one lay person - C. W. Newton - initially categorised the projects into six classifications, and twelve were selected for the preliminary short list. After site visits, the list was shortened to seven. Of the final seven, four have been listed in the prize awards, with two receiving the Silver Medal, one the Certificate of Merit and one of the President's Prize for smaller projects.
