Abstract
1998 is tipped to be a tough, difficult year for Asia's economies, particularly given the seriousness of problems facing South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia. While the plight of these countries is expected to have some impact on Hong Kong, the fundamentals of the SAR economy remain strong. The latest annual report from Chesterton Petty argues that Hong Kong is in a good position to recover and prosper.
