Abstract
The Gammon-Skanska-MBEC Joint Venture has reached a new milestone in constructing the Hong Kong section of the Hong Kong - Shenzhen Western Corridor project. 19 April saw the lifting of the heaviest of the back spans for the cable-stayed bridge. This was the heaviest steel deck span ever installed in Hong Kong as a single unit, and one of three back spans fabricated for the bridge.
由金門-Skanska-中鐵大橋局聯營公司負責的深港西部通道香港段工程，於4月19日成功為整座拉橋中最重的背跨部份完成吊升程序。該段鋼質橋跨是迄今為止在香港以單一元件方式安裝的最重背跨，亦是深港西部通道斜拉橋部份的三條背跨之一。
