Abstract
(1) The Arcade
The Arcade - the specially designed, innovative hallmark of Cyberport - is conceived as a unique high-tech showcase for accelerating the convergence of technology, entertainment and commerce, seizing upon the energy produced by the digital revolution. Exhibiting the latest in products and services, the Arcade functions as Cyberport's 'front door', its chief interface with the general public.
This architecturally dymaic space with fabulous views of the ocean and hills provides a spectacular mix of fun and entertainment facilities.
The Arcade's position at the heart of Cyberport at Telegraph Bay reinforces its geographical advantage. With total gross area of over 27,000 square metres, the Arcade will be the only up-market shopping mall in the southern district of the Hong Kong Island. The Arcade is designed to serve different types of customers. It provides a cultual and communal town centre for those who live and work in Cyberport. Together with nearby tourist sports such as Aberdeen and Ocean Park, the Arcade is also sure to find a place high on the itinerary of the growing population of the southern district.
